Byte range request not supported by server. How do I fix it?

Modified on Tue, 20 Oct at 11:40 PM

Check that your podcast has at least one published episode, then submit your feed again. Our media server supports byte-range requests, but a feed with no episodes has no audio file for the check to test.

A byte-range request asks for part of an audio file instead of the whole file. Apple Podcasts uses them to check episodes, and some feed checkers test for them.

If Apple Podcasts or Spotify still rejects your feed, open a support ticket with your feed URL and the exact error message. Your feed URL looks like https://media.rss.com/your-podcast/feed.xml.
